Guests must register before they arrive. We can host up to 25 people for meetings, workshops, and other events after 6pm weekdays and all weekend.

The Port of Astoria has free event space Monday thru Friday based on availability. The Commission Room seats 30 to 40 people and an L-shaped space for conferences seats 10 to 15 people. There is also a large suite upstairs that holds up to 65, available on weekends only. Chairs and tables are available.

 

Astoria Event Center

This historic maritime-themed event center has the combination of a stage with theater-style balcony seating in an open floor plan and includes a full service bar, which is great for music events, weddings, conferences, and more. The total capacity is around 300, and various sized tables are available with a variety of floor plans already developed. There is a state-of-the-art sound system and full-size screen with projector.

Located below the loft of Hipfish Monthly headquarters, this cozy venue opens to the sidewalks downtown and is also part of the Second Saturday Artwalk as a gallery. Hipfish has long partnered with various cultural organizations to present live events to Fish Town residents. A stage and seating are available as well as a mini bar with bartender for an additional fee.

 

Lovell Showroom at Fort George Brewery

A survivor of Astoria’s second fire, the Lovell Brewery + Taproom was originally built to house the expansion of the Lovell Auto Co. in 1922. The building remained an automotive dealership and repair facility until the late 1990′s, and was briefly used as an arcade and theater for the city as it built back up. It is currently available to rent between regular events and seats up to 80 people with chairs and tables, or it can hold up to 100 standing. Beer and wine are available in-house , and out-sourced catering may be arranged.

 

Astoria Arts & Movement Center

Our studio is in a beautiful, historical building in downtown Astoria.  It has excellent acoustics, gorgeous natural light, six rolling panel mirrors, ballet barres, dressing rooms, restrooms, a sound system, a reception area and 1,000 feet of hardwood floors. Contact for availability and rates, as there are many classes and dance parties happening on an on-going basis.

 

Shively Hall

Situated on a small hilltop park, Shively Hall has a kitchen and comes equipped with tables and chairs for a capacity of 50 sitting or 65 standing. Outside, there is a grassy area and a small playground. Photo opportunities are available in this woodsy setting, including standing under the marble columns and engraving that are remnants of the old Weinhard-Astoria Hotel.

The Tiki Lounge or Birthday Area on the indoor pool deck are available for parties of 25. Tables are available. We provide the lifeguards for pool rentals, and Willie the Whale will make an appearance at your party for an additional fee.

 

Clatsop Community College

Our community college has multiple conference rooms, a gym, classrooms, and a Performing Arts Center. We have chairs and tables available as well as technician’s services by the hour and can seat 10 to 350 people. Availability throughout the year may vary due to classes, and spaces are not generally available after 5pm on weekends.

 

Liberty Theater

The Liberty Theater was recently named Best Historic Venue in Oregon by Northwest Meetings + Events for the summer of 2013. Our historic building includes the upper McTavish Room and lower Theater which are available as separate rentals but may be combined with fee adjustments. Occupancy ranges from 100 to 185+ upstairs and over 660 in the theater. A variety of tables and chairs are available as well as a podium and access to the catering kitchen. Theater staff will be available to help with the event. Permits needed to serve alcohol.

 

The Discovery Room at Baked Alaska

Playground, picnic tables, and indoor event hall are available for rent. Tables and chairs can be provided to seat up to 30 people or 45 standing. They are even open to renting out the entire museum! Capacity varies by space and duty officer is required after hours. The Barbey is located adjacent to the museum and has been beautifully renovated (it was once the local train depot, built in 1925), however it does not have catering amenities and only has 2 120V outlets in the event room. Astoria Elks Lodge #180453 11th St. 503.325.2806www.elks.orgThe lodge is on the National Historic Register and has a fantastic beaux arts style interior filled with marble and columns. There are a ballroom and conference room on the upper floors. The ballroom has a capacity of 225 people, and catering is available along with tables and chairs. There is also a lounge on the second floor.

 

The Flavel House

This Queen Anne style mansion occupies an entire city block and has manicured gardens and a widow’s peak. This family has an interesting and somewhat dark history, but let the house speak for itself. Only the outside lawn and garden are available to rent, with a capacity of 200.

 

Bridgewater Bistro

The bistro has a beautiful old growth vaulted ceiling and is illuminated with natural light through windows overlooking the majestic Columbia River. It accommodates 50 people banquet-style in the mezzanine and the main floor can be used for dancing. This space is not available during the busy season. Their menu is wonderful and a full bar is available across from the fireplace.

 

Heritage Museum

The museum building was originally Astoria's Old City Hall, a neoclassical structure still in beautiful shape. They can accommodate up to 25 people in their conference room. Call for more information.

 

Garden of Surging Waves

The Garden of Surging Waves, a tribute to Astoria’s Chinese Heritage, is one of the newest additions to Astoria’s public parks system and is a beautiful downtown retreat. It is free to use to the general public, however, a permit application is required for hosting an event there.
